Our Burnie Branch currently has a vacancy for the position of Service Supervisor – Specialisation. Working directly with the Service Manager, the Specialisation Supervisor will book and schedule all work, quote and sell jobs to customers, manage and invoice work in progress to customer and company expectations and be the single point of customer contact for all jobs from start to finish.

This challenging front line position would suit someone looking to further their career into management. Candidates will need to have a good understanding of Cat machine systems and a great customer service focus. Dealer parts and service computer system knowledge would be an advantage.

You will be a qualified diesel mechanic experienced in dealing with the repairs, overhauling and testing of the entire CAT range with a particular focus on transmissions, engines and hydraulic components.

To perform successfully in this position you require the ability to:
• Lead and develop the spec shop team with a hands on approach
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Manage the flow of work and use of personnel to ensure quality outputs as per customer expectations
• Liaise with internal customers on schedule or job variations in order to keep customer updated on job progress.
• Work with other Supervisors to manage the labour resource.
• Drive continuous improvement in line with contamination control procedures

The successful applicant will require solid leadership/ coaching qualities, and strong organisational and time management skills. Previous management experience would be preferable.
