A full time position is available in our Power Systems department for an E class Electrician with Power Generation experience.

We are looking for a professional individual who can work effectively on their own and be accountable for their work quality. Ideally you will have extensive Power Generation experience in a customer facing role and be familiar with CAT generator set products and systems.

This position offers the opportunity to work as part of a specialist team where you can apply your initiative and motivation to deliver top class service to customers operating generators in the power generation, industrial, petroleum and marine market segments.

You will be a qualified E Class Electrician and ideally have power generation experience in one or more of the market segments mentioned above. You will have a strong service background, with sound diagnostic skills.  Key personal attributes required for success in this role are self motivation, self confidence, excellent communication and customer liaison skills and above all, you need to be a self starter with a positive can do attitude, be able to work cohesively with your supervisors and peers and have the ability to work unsupervised.
You will also need to have the ability and willingness to turn your hand to mechanical applications as and when required to do so.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Carrying out same day service and repairs of generator sets operating in the field.
• Completing all job related paperwork, including  take 5’s, JSA’s, time sheets, service reports, test sheets, parts returns, warranty, SOS labels, expense vouchers and all other associated documents as required.
• Providing quality customer service at all times, and being the focal point for customer queries as and when required.
• Taking job ownership and following through in preparation of quotes for any further works required to complete the job.

The package includes an attractive base rate incorporating a field service allowance, superannuation, one rostered day off per month, 4 weeks annual leave per annum, and a tool allowance. You will be expected to work overtime on an as required basis and periodically attend to emergency after hour call-outs.
